The file is ArcGIS KMZ. Which is a zipped file of KML files which use XML format to store geographic modeling information. These files contain lines, points, images and polygons used to label locations and create overlay textures and camera angles for the maps that are created by the mapping applications. The file may be opened with mapping applications like Google Earth or ArcGIS. Attached is a screen shot of the data as visible when opening it in the interactive mapping application. It is placemarks of geographic locations of the 61 airports we will be implementing a PCI study at.
