Trace
Syntax: Trace servername

Description: Use the Trace command to test a connection to a server. This command shows detailed information about each server hop and is useful in troubleshooting network connection problems. This command works the same way as "Trace connections," when you choose File - Preferences - Notes Preferences in the IBM® Lotus® Notes® client.

When you attempt to connect to a server, network trace information automatically appears on the status bar of a Notes workstation or on the server console, depending on where you initiated the connection attempt. You can use the NOTES.INI Console_LogLevel setting to control the level of detail that messages on the status bar contain. Trace information is recorded in the log file (LOG.NSF).
