Excluding attachments from the Domain Index
The following types of attachments are excluded from the Domain Index by default: .au, .cca, .dbd, .dll, .exe, .gif, .img, .jpg, .mp3, .mpg, .mov, .nsf, .ntf, .p7m, .p7s, .pag, .sys, .tar, .tif, .wav, .wpl, .zip.

To exclude all other types of document attachments, set the following NOTES.INI variable for the indexing server:
FT_Index_Attachments=2
