Tracing a network connection
To test a connection to a server, use the Trace command, which provides detailed information about each step in a server connection. Using the results of a trace command, you can troubleshoot network connection problems.

When you attempt to connect to a server, network trace information automatically appears on the status bar of a IBM® Lotus® Notes® workstation or on the server console, depending on where you initiated the connection attempt. You can use the NOTES.INI Console_LogLevel setting to control the level of detail that messages on the status bar contain.
