TROUBLESHOOTING

Smart Upgrade Tracking Reports are not being created
If you are having problems with Smart Upgrade, verify that you have enabled Smart Upgrade Tracking.

For instructions about enabling Smart Upgrade Tracking, see the topics Smart Upgrade Tracking Reports database and Creating a desktop policy settings document.

If you are not seeing any Smart Upgrade Tracking reports add the following NOTES.INI variables to the NOTES.INI file on the server that you are using to run Smart Upgrade. If Smart Upgrade fails, you can use the information that is generated and stored by these NOTES.INI settings to provide Support with information that they can use to resolve any Smart Upgrade problems you may be having.

If the information that is generated after setting the Debug_Smart_Upgrade NOTES.INI setting indicates that a kit is not available for the user, check the Smart Upgrade database to determine whether a kit has been configured. If a kit has been configured but the user is not being notified, use the USER.ID of the Notes Client user and open the Smart Upgrade database to determine if that user can access the kit. If not, add the user to the Allowed Users and Server field on the Administration tab of the Smart Upgrade Kit document.

For more information about these NOTES.INI variables, see http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/documentation/notes-ini/.
