Starting and stopping the IMAP task
You can load the IMAP task manually or start it automatically when you start the IBM® Lotus® Domino™ server.
To do thisPerform this task
Start the IMAP service manuallyEnter the following command at the console:

load imap

Start the IMAP service automatically when you start the Domino serverEdit the ServerTasks setting in the NOTES.INI file to include the command imap. Domino adds the IMAP task by default to the NOTES.INI file if you select the IMAP service during installation.
Stop the IMAP service Enter the following command at the console:

tell imap quit
