TROUBLESHOOTING

Password or account problems with OS account used to start DB2 services
If the user account that starts the IBM® DB2 Universal Database™ Enterprise Server Edition services is disabled on Microsoft® Windows® or if the password has expired, DB2 services will not start when you reboot the computer and the IBM® Lotus® Domino™ server displays errors because it cannot connect to the DB2 server.

1. Start/restart the Domino server. The Domino server will start because the OS Account is not used during Domino server server start up.

2. Reboot the Microsoft Windows computer that is running DB2 so that the DB2 service restarts. Problems will be encountered when you attempt to restart the DB2 services.

The Microsoft Windows Event Properties/Logs contain these error messages for DB2 services:

Resolving the problem:

1. Re-enable the OS account and then restart the DB2 services.

2. Start the Domino server.
