TROUBLESHOOTING
1. Turn the modem on and off to reset it.
2. Check the cable connection from the server to the modem. Make sure that the cable is attached to the correct port and isn't damaged.
3. Make sure the communication port is correctly configured.
4. Specify a lower port speed. Choose File - Preferences - User Preferences and select Ports. Select the port you want to modify, and select COM Options. Select a lower port speed.
5. Replace the serial card and RS-232 interface card with one that you know works.
