MONITORING

Reporting DDM operating system probe events to Tivoli Enterprise Console
You can have the operating system probe events reported to the Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC) in addition to the DDM.NSF database. To do so, set the TEC information in the IBM® Lotus® Domino™ Server Configuration document and then install the operating system probe definitions on the TEC server.

Setting TEC information

In this procedure you enter the TEC server IP address and port number. Obtain that information from the TEC server administrator.

1. From the IBM® Lotus® Domino™ Administrator, click Configuration.

2. Choose Server - Configurations.

3. Select the Server Configuration document you are modifying and click Edit Configuration.

4. On the Basics tab - Tivoli Enterprise Console Settings section, click Enable logging to Tivoli Enterprise Console.

5. Enter the IP Address of the TEC server.

6. Enter the port number to listen to. The default is 5529.

7. Click Save and Close.

Installing the DDM OS probe definitions on the TEC server

When you install IBM® Lotus® Domino™ 7 or more recent, five text files with a .baroc file name extension are installed in the rmeval subdirectory of the Domino data directory.

The .baroc files are:

1. Locate the text files that have the .baroc extension.

2. Copy the files and send them to the TEC administrator who will copy the files to the TEC server. They can then be installed and loaded on that server.

For more information about installing and loading BAROC files, see the Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC) documentation.
