1. From the IBM® Lotus® Domino™ Administrator, click the Configuration tab, and then open the Monitoring Configuration view.

2. Open the Event Generators - Task Status view, and click New Task Monitor.

3. On the Basics tab under Tasks to monitor, complete these fields:

Field	Action
Task name	Select the name of the task.
Servers	Choose one: All in the domain Only the following. Then select the name of one or more servers
What to monitor	Monitor task down Monitor task up Monitor task not responding Monitor task resumed responding

4. Click the Other tab, complete these fields, and then save and close.

Field	Action
Generate a monitor event of severity	Select a severity level.
Create a new event handler for this event	Click this button to launch the Event Notification Wizard and create an event handler.
