Using the alternate page cleaning setting to improve performance
Use the alternate page cleaning setting to allow IBM® DB2 Universal Database™ Enterprise Server Edition to quickly write pages from its buffer pool so that the DB2 server can keep up with the IBM® Lotus® Domino™ server. When this variable is set to On, the page cleaners can better utilize available disk I/O bandwidth. On large or busy DB2 servers, from the Command Line Processor, enter:

When you install or reinstall DB2, be sure to establish or reestablish the DB2 environment variables and tuning parameters on your computer.
