Navigating to the next unread document
You can navigate to the next unread document in a view without having to scan through a list of documents. This is useful, for example, if you are reading a discussion thread and want to keep navigating to the next unread document without having to close the document you are in.

Moving to an unread document works this way:

From an open document - if you navigate to the next unread document, you move to the next unread document in the current discussion thread. If there are no unread documents in that thread, you move to the next parent topic of a discussion thread that has unread documents in it. (You move to the parent topic whether or not you have read the parent topic so that you can see the context of the discussion.) From the parent document, you move to the next unread document in the discussion.
In a view - if you navigate to the next unread document, you are taken to the next unread document in the view, regardless of what discussion thread the document is in.

To navigate to the next unread document

1. Open a document or a view.

2. Press F4, or click the Next Unread toolbar icon in the toolbar.
