To save file attachments

You can save an attached file to your hard disk, a floppy disk, or to a file server. Notes saves a copy of the attached file and leaves the original attached to the document. If the file you're saving is an application, save it to your Notes data directory (Macintosh users, Notes Data folder) to make it easier to add to your workspace later.

1. Open the document that contains an attachment.

2. Click one or more attachments to select them. To select multiple attachments click to select the first one, and then press and hold the Shift key to select subsequent attachments.

3. Click Attachment, and then select one of these menu options:

4. Specify the drive and directory in which to store the files, and then click Save.

Tip To save files to your operating system, select any attachment and drag it from the Notes document to a folder on your operating system.
