SETTING PREFERENCES

To invoke Lotus Notes on vCard files
Selection of this option allows invoking IBM® Lotus® Notes® when you double-click a vCard file (vCard files are indicated by a .vcf extension). If Lotus Notes is not running, the double-click will start Lotus Notes and open to the My Contacts view in your Contacts. If Lotus Notes is running, the double-click opens Contacts or switches to its window tab if it's already open. Once in Contacts, the Contacts in the vCard File dialog box opens with the specified file displayed, so you can add contacts from the file to your Contacts. For a detailed description of vCard files and importing and exporting contacts, see Importing and exporting contacts as vCards.

Note This option is not available on the Macintosh.

To enable this option, follow these steps:

1. Click File > Preferences > User Preferences.

2. Under Additional Options, click Invoke Notes on vCard Files.

3. Click OK.
