INSTANT MESSAGING

Sorting the instant messaging contact list
Note The features described in this topic are available only if your company has an IBM® Lotus® Sametime® server. The Macintosh version of Lotus Notes® does not support some instant messaging features, for example, instant meetings and multiple-person chats.

By default, the instant messaging contact list displays groups and people's names within private groups in the order that you add them. If you prefer, you can display groups and people within private groups in alphabetical order.

Note Public groups always display their members' names in alphabetical order.

1. Click File > Preferences.

2. Click User Preferences.

3. Click the plus sign next to Instant Messaging and then click Options.

4. Under Contact list, select Sort list.

Note If you have used the standalone IBM Lotus Sametime Connect client and set a preference for list sorting there, Notes uses your preference as the default.
