Importing vCard files
You can import vCard (.vcf) files as new Contacts. To import contact information from another mail application, such as Microsoft® Outlook Express, open the other application and save one or more contacts in vCard (.vcf) file format, then import the file.

1. From Contacts, click File > Import.

2. Choose vCard as the file type.

3. Browse to the .vcf file you want to import from and click Import. The contact information appears.

4. (Optional) If you want to import only some of the names in a vCard file that has multiple contacts, click each name you want to import. A check shows which names are selected.

Note

An asterisk (*) displays next to any name you already have in your Contacts. If you choose to add the name anyway, a duplicate record is created.

5. Click one of the following:

Import all - if you already have a contact entry for a name in the file, choosing this option creates a duplicate contact entry.
Import selected - if you selected contact names in step 4.

Tip You can drag a vCard file to your Contacts to create a new contact from it. Additionally, if you receive a vCard file as an attachment in a message, select the attachment and click View to see the list of contacts in the vCard. Then follow the steps above to save them in your Contacts.
