Scanning selected Notes applications automatically when Notes starts
You can have the "Scan Unread" dialog box appear automatically when you first start IBM® Lotus® Notes®, so you can immediately start scanning selected Notes applications.

1. Click File > Preferences > User Preferences > Basics.


2. Under Startup and shut down, check Scan for unread and then click OK.

3. You must restart Notes for this preference to take effect.

When you restart Notes the Scan Unread dialog box displays. Refer to the options described in Scanning multiple Notes applications for unread documents when scanning through selected applications.

Note To stop scanning applications automatically, repeat these steps and remove the check for the Scan for unread option.
