To stop Lotus Notes from changing data in date and time fields
With the Strict Date/Time Input option enabled, IBM® Lotus® Notes® does not supply or correct a correct date or time.

When this option is enabled, Lotus Notes supplies the date or time you partially enter after you press TAB or click out of the field. (For example, if you enter "24/06/2001" in a date field and press TAB, Lotus Notes changes it to Sat 06/24/2001.)

Lotus Notes can supply the wrong date, so entering the full date or time yourself ensures greater accuracy.

Note If the Strict Date/Time Input option is enabled, and you see a Field contains Incorrect Value dialog box when attempting to enter a value in a Date/Time field, disable the strict option, enter a value in the field and let Lotus Notes "guess" the date. You can also check to see whether the field you're working in has field Help explaining the format you must use to enter dates and times in that field.

1. Click File > Preferences > User Preferences.

2. Under Additional Options, click Strict Date/Time Input.

3. Click OK.
