SETTING PREFERENCES

To dither images when your system uses 256 colors
When your computer's display is set to a resolution of 256 colors, IBM® Lotus® Notes® improves the appearance of images by dithering them (interpreting groups of pixels so that they can appear smoother). This preference is on by default, but you can turn if off if you want to see images without dithering. The preference does not appear in the list if your system is set to use more colors than 256.

Note This option is not available on the Macintosh.

1. Click File > Preferences > User Preferences.

2. Under Additional Options, select Dither images.

3. Click OK.
