Exporting XML files from Domino Designer
In Notes-based composite applications, a unique XML file is required that consists of design notes that contain composite application definitions for that composite application. This XML file is stored within the "container" IBM® Lotus® Notes® application used for the composite application.

To update an existing XML file, you must export the file to store it on disk, edit it, and then reimport it using the Refresh button.

Use the following procedure to do this

1. Open the composite application database in IBM® Lotus® Domino(TM) Designer and navigate to Composite Applications-Applications (in the database bookmark in the left panel).

2. Select the XML file that you wish to export for editing.

3. Use the Export XML button to export the selected XML file to your local disk from Domino Designer.

4. Edit the XML file as needed.

5. Reimport the edited XML file using the Refresh button.

Alternatively, you can do this by doing the following:

6. In IBM® Lotus® Domino(TM) Designer, navigate to Composite Applications-Applications.

7. From the menu, select Composite-Export XML....

8. Select the XML file that you wish to export for editing.

9. Name the file (if needed) and click Save .

10. Edit the XML file as needed.

11. Reimport the edited file selecting Composite-Refresh.....

To import an existing XML file into your composite application, use the Import WSDL button or menu choice from this view to import the WSDL file on disk.
