COMPOSITE APPLICATIONS - DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT

Merging existing WSDL files into a single file in Domino Designer
The "Merge WSDLs" feature of IBM® Lotus® Domino(TM) Designer lets you select several Wiring Properties design elements and export them to a single "merged" WSDL file.

For Websphere Portal Template Editor users this is useful as it allows them to register all composite application properties and actions with the Portal property broker so that the Portal Template Editor can be used for component wiring.

Use the following procedure to merge existing WSDL files into one file in Domino Designer:

1. Start Domino Designer

2. Open the composite application that contains the WSDL files that you wish to merge.

3. Click Composite Applications-Wiring Properties.

4. Click the Import WSDL button

5. In the Open dialog box, go to the directory that contains the WSDL files that you wish to merge and do a multi-select of these files.

6. Click the Open button. The files are imported into the Composite Applications-Wiring Properties view.

7. Select the specified files that you wish to merge.

8. Click the Merge WSDLs button.

9. In the "Save In" field of the Save As dialog box, specify the directory where you wish the single file created from the merge operation be saved.

10. In the File field, enter, for example, compapp.wsdl.

11. Click the OK Button. The selected files are merged into a single file.

Alternatively, you can do this by doing the following:

12. In IBM® Lotus® Domino(TM) Designer, navigate to Composite Applications-Wiring Properties.

13. Select the WSDL files that you wish to merge.

14. From the menu, select Composite-Merge WSDLs....

15. In the "Save In" field of the Save As dialog box, specify the directory were you wish the single file created from the merge operation be saved.

16. In the File name field, enter, for example, compapp.wsdl.

17. Click the OK Button. The selected files are merged into a single file.
