WORKING WITH DOCUMENTS

Spell checking multi-language documents
When spell checking a document that contains words in multiple languages, you can set Notes to remember and use the last dictionary chosen to spell check the rest of the document. For example, you can have a three paragraph document where the first two paragraphs of text are written in English (United States) and the last paragraph is written in Italian. If your default dictionary is English (United States), you can change dictionaries while you are spell checking so that when the spell checker reaches the Italian paragraph, the spell checker uses the Italian dictionary to check that paragraph. Notes checks spelling on a per word basis, so if you do not set Notes to keep using the last dictionary you enabled, Notes automatically goes back to using your default dictionary after one word is checked using the newly chosen dictionary.

You must have the language dictionaries installed to use this feature.
